Notable Records: Twin City Tree Cats joined The Red Zone in 2013 when the league expanded to ten teams. In their first year in the league, they went 9-4, secured the #1 seed, and made it to the championship. There they were upset by the #6 seed, Indian Outlaws, but it was an impressive showing from a first-year team nonetheless. The Tree Cats have been very fortunate when it comes to points-against. Their overall franchise points-against-per game is second-best (102.4) behind the River Gypsies, but since their only seasons have been during 13-game seasons, one of which included the three IDP starters, their points-against-per-player is actually lower than that of the River Gypsies. This excellent luck has helped the Tree Cats earn a lifetime 51% winning percentage despite being the second lowest-scoring team on a per-game basis. 2015 was a difficult year for the Twin City Tree Cats. Their average of 101.6 points-scored-per-game is not historically poor, but it is inflated by the three IDP starters. On a per-starter basis, the Tree Cats' 2015 campaign was actually the single worst in the history of the Red Zone. They were one of just six teams in history to earn less than 9 points per starter, posting just 8.46. This was significantly ahead of the second-worst team, the 2012 Troll Hunters, with 8.75 points-scored-per-starter. |
