The Red Zone is a fantasy football league that was first formed in 2011. It was originally conceived as "Just Win, Maybe" but after several years, the name was switched to "The Red Zone." The original members were:
Andrew Wheeler (League Commissioner)
Allyssa Wheeler (then, Allyssa Mulliken)
Gentry Bain
Hayden Hanson
Chris Hanson
Derek Leventry
Evan Johnson
Bryan Perkins
As stated above, The Red Zone first started as an eight-team league. After one season, in 2012, Bryan Perkins left the league, and Steve Kanne took over his franchise. The 2013 season brought a change, as the league transitioned to a ten-team league. Dan Rosenthal and Alex Spence were invited to join and were granted expansion franchises. Midway through the 2014 season, Steve Kanne decided to resign from the league, and Mike Tibstra took ownership of his franchise. After the conclusion of the 2015 season, Alex Spence resigned, and his franchise was gifted to Dan Wanous. Dan Wanous left the league in 2020, bringing down the league to 8 teams following Allyssa combining her powers with Andrew. Finally, in 2022, Sean Horgan and Chris Breuer joined to bring the Red Zone back to 10!
All the members of The Red Zone know each other either from growing up in Edina, Minnesota, or from going to school at Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota. After graduating from college, some members of the league have moved away, but the league has remained competitive and closeknit.
